How to Change an Employee Password

The password field is not always available in the employee's profile. For this reason, it may be necessary to change an employee's password when they forget it. Like the user name, it is recommended there be a naming convention for passwords. This is typically the officer's badge number or a piece of personal information that is easy for the officer to remember, but unknown to other officers.

Change Employee Password: Assign a New Password

To Change an Employee's Password:

  1. From the Live Dashboard, click on the employee's tile. Select the desired employee from the list of employees by clicking on the employee's name or the [View] button in the same row.
  2. Click on the [Change Password] button.
  3. Type the new password in the pop-up window. Retype the new password in the lower field to confirm.
  4. Click on the [Save] button to save the change.

As a best practice it is always recommended that the password be tested before it is shared with the employee.
