How Can I Set Up Reports In Different Languages?

With TrackTik, you can set up report templates to display fields in different languages. This is useful if you have sites in multiple countries, in areas where different languages are spoken, or, if you have multi-lingual clients. Follow the steps below to set up and use report templates in multiple languages.

Set Up

  1. To create the report template, go to the Settings tile.
  2. Click on Report Templates.
  1. Click on the New Custom Report button.
  1. Set the default language.
  2. Set Support multiple languages to Yes. For information on the other fields in this screen, please refer to this article.
  3. Click the Save button.

  1. Once your template has been saved, click on the Field Setup button to add fields.

  1. Create the report fields you need and label them in the primary language. For more information on setting up report fields, please refer to this article.
  1. Next, translate each of the fields by clicking on the globe button.
  1. Select the language, and enter a translation of each label in the appropriate fields. Click the Save button to save the translation.

Completing The Report - Mobile Device

The report will display in the language of your device's operating system. If your device's operating system is set up in a language other than the primary or secondary report template language, the report will appear in the default language.

Follow the steps below to fill out the report on your mobile device.

  1. Click on the Reports icon.

Any field that contains list items, such as sites, employees, or incident categories that are set up in a different language, will display the list items in that language.

Viewing A Completed Report - Mobile Device

When you view a completed multi-lingual report, the information entered will appear in the language in which they were entered. The report fields will appear in the language of the device's operating system.

For example, if a guard filled out a multi-lingual report with French information, and the device of the user looking at the report is in English, the report fields will appear in English, and the information entered will appear in French.

Any field that contains list items, such as sites, employees, or incident categories that are set up in a different language, will display the list items in that language.

Follow the steps below to view a completed multi-lingual report.

  1. Tap the Reports icon on the mobile device.

Completing The Report - Onsite License

Using on onsite license, guards can fill out reports from a web browser, and without needing mobile device.

When viewing or filling out a multi-lingual report, the report fields will appear in the language to which TrackTik is set. For example, if a report template's default language is English, and secondary language is French, the fields will appear in French if the TrackTik language is set to French.

Follow the steps below to fill out a multi-lingual report using an onsite license.

  1. Login and select the Site Access option from the On Site tile.
  1. Select the option to clock into the site.

  1. Select Save when asked if you would like to log in.

  1. Once logged in, select the report template you would like to fill out.
  1. Click the plus sign.

Completing The Report - Admin Portal

You can complete a multi-lingual report from the dashboard in the admin portal.

When viewing or filling out a multi-lingual report, the report fields will appear in the language to which TrackTik is set. For example, if a report template's default language is English, and secondary language is French, the fields will appear in French if the TrackTik language is set to French.

Follow the steps below to complete a multi-lingual report from the admin portal.

  1. From the dashboard, click the New Report button.
  1. Select the customer.
  2. Select the report template.
  3. Click Save.

Viewing The Report - Admin Portal

Once a multi-lingual report has been filed using a mobile device, an onsite license or the admin portal, it will be visible in the list of reports under the Operations Reports tab.

Report fields will appear in the language to which TrackTik is set. For example, if a report template's default language is English, and secondary language is French, the fields will appear in French if the TrackTik language is set to French. The data contained in the report fields will appear in the language in which it was entered.

  1. In the portal, click on the Operations Reports tab.
  2. Click on the Reports option on the left.
  3. Click on the View button to view the report.
