8.9 Break Management: Scheduling at a Position with Existing Break Rules

Updated Jul 27, 2020

When scheduling shifts for a position, the breaks for the shift will be auto-generated only if a break rule is associated with this position. In addition to selecting a break rule, the person creating the schedule must:

  1. Choose the position.
  2. Enter the shift duration.
  3. The system will automatically calculate both the rest breaks.
  4. The system will automatically calculate the meal breaks.

Note: Neither the rest nor the meal breaks can be edited.

Note: If the scheduled position does not have a break rule associated to it, the break fields will be displayed as a single field, and it will be editable.
