9.1 Zones: Managing Site Hierarchy

Updated Sep 22, 2020

Sites and zones are two of the most important building blocks of your TrackTik data. Sites represent your clients, and zones provide a way to group sites together to more easily facilitate patrols, and to allow guards to work at multiple sites during a single shift.

It is a good idea to plan your structure before creating sites and zones.

Operation Dashboard - Google Chrome

Sample Site Structure:

Slack | Andrée-Anne | TRACKTIK | 1 new item
User Manual - IN PROGRESS - Guarding Suite - Google Docs - Google Chrome

Devices are assigned to sites and zones. Generally, all sites within a patrol route should be contained in one Zone. Mobile patrol officers will be able to access the different sites during their shift. Each time an officer signs into a site the mobile application updates with the information for that site including: checkpoints, tours, post orders, report forms and emergency contacts.
